Left home at 5:30 pm. Drove 7 hours to Econolodge in New Stanton, PA. Cheap hotel, but comfy beds. All had a great sleep.

Saturday, April 2 -- Visit Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hill.  Climb Jockey's Ridge.  Stay in Nags Head, NC.  Eat at Outback Steakhouse.

Sunday, April 3 -- Spend another day at the Tanger Outlet Mall, fishing pier, bum around the beach and eat at Barefoot Bernies Tropical Bar & Grill.  Stay in Nags Head, NC.

Monday, April 4 -- Drive to Ocracoke, NC.  (2.5 hrs) Visit Hatteras light house along the way.  Take ferry to Ocracoke.  Ferry departs Hatteras every hour, 5am-midnight.  No reservations taken.  Free.  40 min crossing.  Stay in Ocracoke, NC at the Anchorage Inn.  3rd floor/2 double beds reserved. $99.  Cancel by 3/28.  (252) 928-1101

Tuesday, April 5 -- Drive to Charleston, SC.  (6.5 hrs)  Ferry reserved.  Arrive at terminal before 7am.  Departure 7:30am.  $15.  Reservation VSKPVF6T.  Okracoke-->Cedar Island.  2 Hour and 15 minute ferry ride,  1-800-293-3779.  Cancel by 4/4/11 4pm (or 6pm).

Wednesday, April 6 -- Day #1 Visit Charleston.  **Purchase combo Charleston Bus Tour & Fort Sumter Tour Package -($32 adults, $18 kids)-can be used on different days

morning: GrayLine bus tour (6 minutes from hotel) leaves every half hour starting at 9:30. 90 minute tour afternoon: Middleton Place Plantation (25 minutes from hotel)

Thursday, April 7 -- Day #2 Visit Charleston.  Patriot’s Point Naval Museum (15 minutes from hotel) opens at 9am ($18 adults, $11 kids) 1:30 Fort Sumter Tour (2 hour and 15 minute tour)-departs from Patriot’s Point. Stay in Charleston, SC

Saturday, April 9 -- Visit Kentucky Derby Museum and Churchhill Downs.  http://www.derbymuseum.org/visitors_guide.html  Museum opens at 8am.  Admission $36 total.  Take Barn and Backside Tour.  Reserved 8:30am. $10/each.  Cancel up to 24 hrs prior.  Drive home (7hrs).
